Well this blog is going to be a little bit different then my previous ones. Today I've been reading twitter all day hoping to see that my favorite team resigned their captain and one of their best players. That news never came. So I started to think about that the music industry would be like if it have free agency and bands lost musicians to contracts worth millions of dollars that they probably didn't deserve. The music industry would look so much different if that were the case. Imagine The Beatles losing John Lennon to Led Zeppelin because the fab four couldn't come up with a 10 year 90 million dollar contract. Musicians who are already viewed as greedy people by the general public, would be look at as almost not human. Yet in sports this is common practice and people just seem to accept it.

Sports is going down hill in my opinion, there is no more loyalty between athletes and teams. They only care about the highest bidder and how much their pay day will be. When the New Jersey Devils made it to the Stanley Cup Final I was so happy, thinking this could be the answer to all the problems they have faced in the recent years of hockey. But it turns out being successful means nothing at all to athletes. Zach Parise, who is the player I was speaking about previously, is most likely going to sign a mega deal worth 100 million dollars or more. Just ridiculous, again imagine Neil Peart, drummer for Rush, signing a 100 million dollar contract to play drums for Nickleback. People would boycott music all together, yet in sports this is common and people complain for awhile about it, but eventually get over it. In what world are professional sports players worth this much money? Musicians are also rich, but if they were making this much money we would be boycotting the music industry all together, sports should be no different.

End sports money rant.
Thanks for reading my venting to the internet.
